Many thoughts, one life!

I have always been amazed, thrilled, stupefied by the conspicuous thoughts a person's mind can generate. Its unassumingly one of the unchartered territory to some of the highly educated psychologists. It does beat across anything that has surmounted man's near-perfect attitude that he has inculcated over the array of successes. This for sure THE unquestionable fact.

Mind - I do have heard a lot about the intricacies and nitty-gritties of it but never have (can!) been able to pin-point it and get the shape (read: quantify) to it.

I once had this unsought dialogue that actually turned out to be a debate of sorts, with my father and his friend. [Moral; never put across your points to a team of septuagenerians whiling out by doing the most unsort job - 'thinking' :) ] . Coming back to the point; the dialogue was initiated by none other than ME, I threw open a question whether mind and heart are different? Mind and Heart (intended caps!) what a combination of thoughts. They were taken aback for the question as they are from a school of thought that says "mind your own business". Ransacking their brains and savaging my 'childlike innocence' the argument went nonethless but haywire. The then debate was a debacle and never attempted to build a stand of mine. Autocracy curtails ones thought a bit!

All said and undone, cards started trumpling down...thud, thud, dud! I repented much to my glory for the seemingly stupid question. Here is the snippet of my satirical journey...

"What's the difference between heart and mind?", I felt a typical journalist-in-making with this question. Without much of inhibitions they ridiculed suggesting it wasn't a question at all. This wasn't easy for me but I stood firm without posing any ice-breaker. They were pushed to think something before I callout for additional help from somebody whom they may think 'derogatory' to get an answer, not equal by age and experience. By fate, form and destiny, wriggling ones arm has never been my principle, to say! To further make them understand my 100 rupee question, I reposed it in a slightly materialistic way, "when you are hurt or happy where does it strike you the most?". Well! I can never be a teacher to kinder garteners as they squirmed from my question and that was most unwelcoming for me. After few minutes of sharing very own "personal" experience they could spot the thin red line that I was trying to dissect from 'aimless' confabulation. They sighted their examples without much respite to my satisfaction.

Key points! THE words to show-off my corporate eshtyle, that this unscheduled meeting drove was nothing but to signify the infinite instances that are still gravitating around our Milkyway galaxy, may be that was slightly hyped out of proportion but sensible crux is that we are nothing but nomads in understanding what we are unto pursuing most of our life time.

Back to business; yes, at last! i feel Heart is a pure emotional 'tangible' part of your body, an expert in cardio can replace/recycle!, but Mind is intangible asset used to judge and react rationally. Situational analysis; Lets call Heart to be symbol of love, Mind talks to you to accept if its a symbol of love or hatred. An average homo sapien would callout for help in trouble but Mind is stuck with ego to do so. Pity the needy by Heart but help is certainly the Mind's say. Go bananas but action is functional of Mind. Heart takes the smoother version of oneself and Mind is a train on a single track with seldom deviations, this aspect of Mind is evolved with age to fit into a certain grove calling it "Principles". These vagaries are as normal as inflation at peak in Zimbabwe lest one makes a dutiful effort to turn tables.

This kind self has come across such specimen/women, and they're commendable. Above given business cases don't jell with their characteristic. I vouch for the characterisitic they stand by- unexplicable! Honestly, it takes a certain weight to carry and marry the Heart with Mind, vice versa too. Decisions taken are absolute sans absurdity. Reactions to all 9 emotions are overtly balanced by the typical offspring from Heart and Mind. These marriages between Heart and Mind helps gain awe with astonishment. I see them walking on a thin rope tied to two polls that may stand for 'devious nature blend with diversity' and 'strong will' - completely opposite and negating each other. Each poll imagined to overshadow the other for some wily act or gain.

I ain't sure of the clarity in the message from this write-up but one can conclude with ease that Heart and Mind are distinct. But, marrying them, thinking and reacting, after mincing the best from Heart and Mind is worthy in all the worlds. Talk to your heart and mind often to know them better than they know you.
